Mixing those two words on a purchase order could get you a $10,000 custom prosthesis when you actually needed a $1,200 ankle brace. In our procurement system, this exact mistake came up—the clinical team meant an off-the-shelf knee brace, and the requesting form said "prosthetic device." Common Mistakes We've Seen (and Made)
